Bumble Bee Free Library proudly launched its Little Free Library (LFL) book exchange box, the first in Thailand's Nonthaburi province, on June 6, 2020. Our second LFL box opened June 22, 2021.
Our Little Free Library boxes are the Eagle Scout project of then 15-year-old Nolan Waters, who organized a successful fundraiser to make the book exchange boxes possible. Artist Sarakorn "Greek" Prasongsilp of Shaman Art hand-painted the wooden boxes, and members of Nolan's Boy Scout Troop #701 stocked them with books in English and Thai. Nolan also presented BBFL with a cash donation from his fundraising to maintain the boxes.
BBFL is proud that our library is now part of the international Little Free Library movement to provide a free book exchange service, whose motto is "Take a book. Share a book".
